Antivirus Options for Home or Business

If you have a computer and you use the internet you need antivirus protection. Without it your computer will probably fall victim to a virus or two. These viruses can literally ruin your computer, damage your files and make your life miserable. Since viruses can’t be seen, antivirus protection is critical if you want to be safe online.

What is a Virus?
Computer viruses can attach themselves to almost anything and then make their way onto your computer. They can be found on websites, in files and even in your emails. They can’t be seen until your computer contracts one and starts displaying the associated problems that will accompany it. They are created for many reasons. Some are intended to irritate, others seek to damage your computer and some want to steal your personal information like passwords.

How Will I Know if I Have A Virus?
Viruses are hard to see so odds are you won’t know if you get one. Typically computer users are alerted to a virus problem when it is found by their antivirus software. It is important to have this protection and to know that you have it from a reliable source since it may be the only thing keeping your computer safe from attacks.

I got tired of using both mcafee and norton in years past. Both of their programs bugged me so often. After discovering Webroot I gave it a try. I love it because it just does it’s job in the background and doesn’t always ask me to do something.
